Week of Jan 29, 2012

Leaders,

One of the key elements of our House Church communities is fellowship. It's good for us to build lasting, authentic friendships within House Church. Studying God's word is another one of those key elements. Without His word, we're just a bunch of friends hanging out and eating snacks.

Those two parts are equally important. So some nights you'll find it's necessary to just spend the night in the Bible, digging, asking, praying for what it means to your life. Other nights, you might find that it's best to just laugh, tell stories, and be together. So how do you manage that tension?

This week I'd like to challenge you to discuss this topic with your leadership team. How is the balance in your group? Is it too much study and not enough laughing? Is it really fun, but much to unstructured? Maybe even ask your members what they think. I'd love to hear what you come up with.

God Bless,

Chris
